PM Modi Addresses Manipur Violence: 11,000 FIRs and 500 Arrests Illustrate Ongoing Peace Efforts

PM Modi addressed Manipur's issues, highlighting reduced violence, arrests, and efforts for peace, amidst ongoing governance and exam conduct.

For the first time, PM Modi openly discussed the issue of Manipur. He stated that there has been a continuous decrease in violence in Manipur. More than 500 people have been arrested in the state. He said that he would reject those who indulge in politics in Manipur. Students have also taken exams in the state. Efforts for reconciliation and peace are ongoing in the state.

The Prime Minister said that Manipur has a long history of conflict. He mentioned that conditions in Manipur were worse in 1993. He stated that certain elements are fueling the fire in Manipur. The Prime Minister remarked that Manipur is also facing a crisis of floods. He highlighted that the central government is providing full support in this regard. The government is making continuous efforts for Manipur.

The government continues to make continuous efforts to normalize the situation in Manipur. The PM stated that over 11,000 FIRs have been filed for recent incidents there. He mentioned that Manipur is a small state where more than 500 people have been arrested. He emphasized that we must accept that incidents of violence in Manipur are gradually decreasing. This implies that there is hope for peace and confidence in peace is becoming possible.

PM Modi said that in most parts of Manipur, schools are operating normally, colleges are functioning, and offices and other institutions are open. He mentioned that like other parts of the country, examinations have also been conducted in Manipur. PM Modi stated that the central and state governments are in constant communication with everyone. Continuous efforts are being made for peace.
