Many government-operated schemes aim to benefit farmers, providing them with financial assistance. The Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is one such initiative under this financial empowerment program. On February 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed the 19th installment of this scheme.
In the previous month, the government transferred approximately ₹22,000 crore to farmers’ accounts, as reported by ABP News. Farmers remain hopeful about the upcoming 20th installment under the scheme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi implemented the Direct Benefit Transfer system to allocate Rs 22,000 crore to 9.8 crore farmers on February 24. This included 241 lakh female farmers and 9.85 million male farmers. The following information provides insights into the expected release date of the next installment.
The wait for the 20th installment will soon come to an end. The payment is likely to be disbursed in June 2025. The third installment of the year is expected in October 2025, following this second release. Farmers who own agricultural land will be eligible for benefits under the scheme. Additionally, e-KYC completion is mandatory for all farmers. Those who have not completed e-KYC registration will not receive the 20th installment.
To complete the e-KYC process, farmers must enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to their Aadhaar-linked mobile number. e-KYC services are accessible through Common Service Centers (CSCs) and via mobile number verification linked to Aadhaar. This service is also available on the PM Kisan Mobile application.
