The holy Amarnath Yatra is already set to begin on July 3, and the security agencies are fully on an alert mode, regarding the situation. According to the Exclusive ground report from international border of samba sector, BSF has been put on alert at the border before the Amarnath Yatra and the troops have been equipped with high-tech weapons and equipment. They are also kept on strict monitoring.
Particularly and more importantly, the Border Security Force (BSF) has heightened the monitoring and security arrangements at the border area. BSF personnel are continuously patrolling the border and are fully equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and high-tech surveillance equipment. Every activity is being closely monitored to prevent any suspicious or terrorist actions or activities in a timely manner and to ensure that the peace of the Yatra is not disturbed.
BSF officials state that 24×7 monitoring is being conducted to avoid any lapses during the Yatra. The force is fully prepared to tackle every possible challenge. Security has also been tightened on the roads passing through areas adjacent to the border. Joint checkpoints have been set up by the BSF and local police, where thorough checks of every incoming and outgoing vehicle are being conducted.
Clear instructions have been issued by the administration that devotees should set out on their journey with the scheduled convoy on July 2nd. Departing independently is not only unsafe but can also disrupt the security management. Devotees are repeatedly urged to follow the security guidelines and to travel only on authorized routes and at the designated times.
