‘More than 30 lakh pilgrims visited Char Dham Yatra’: Uttarakhand govt

Uttarakhand: The number of pilgrims visiting the ongoing Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand has broken all records. Director General of Police Ashok Kumar said that so far, more than 30 lakh pilgrims have visited. Out of these, more than 10 lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath.

He further said that efforts are being made to provide safe and smooth darshan to the devotees. The Char Dham Yatra (Char Dham Yatra 2023) will continue for about four and a half months. That is, by November 14, 2023, the devotees will reach here.

According to the figures, so far, more than 30 lahks (Gangotri: 5,35,327; Yamunotri: 4,65,295; Kedarnath: 10,17,195; Badrinath: 8,98,221; Hemkund Sahib: 88,455) devotees have returned home after visiting Char Dham.

Meanwhile, in view of the monsoon season, as a precautionary measure, the Uttarakhand government issued a notice on Friday (June 17) asking employees of all state services not to go on leave and go on strike for the next six months.
