Rewari police have arrested a woman and a broker who used to defraud people in the name of marriage. According to reports, the same was done to Jaldeep, who was also a resident of Rewari.
In the complaint filed with the police, Jaldeep has mentioned that he met broker Sohal for the first time through someone else. He was told about a girl named Pooja in UP’s Ambedkar district and paid 2 lakh rupees, which was done for completing a controversial ritual in a temple, and on June 4, he brought his bride to his village in Rewari.
On the night of June 5, the bride eventually ran away with jewellery and cash. The police then registered a case about the same and caught the runaway thieving bride and broker from UP. During interrogation process it was revealed that the one who was claiming to be Pooja, has the actual name as Kaushalya, who is actually a married woman and also the mother of four children already. The information that was given regarding the boy Rahul during the marriage was also found to be false and misleading.
The boy Rahul, whom she was claiming to be her brother, was in real her boyfriend Rakesh. The woman would also rent people to pretend as parents for rupees fifteen hundred. Meanwhile, her husband was very disturbed by the woman’s actions. He works as a labourer in Delhi. It has recently, also come to light that this woman had been arrested in a similar case in Bharatpur, Rajasthan in 2024, and she was out on bail. Currently, the police have presented the accused in court and taken them on a 2-day police remand for thorough interrogation.
