Rain Lashes Parts of Delhi-NCR
IMD Weather LIVE Updates: Earlier this month, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted an early onset of the monsoon for India. Rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds has led to Waterlogging in several parts of the country. Notably, the Weather Body has forecasted rainfall over the
northwest India for the next 4-5 days in association with Western Disturbance.
On May 30, rain triggered heavy to very heavy rainfall over Kerala, coastal Karnataka, and the ghat areas of Tamil Nadu. However, IMD predicted it would reduce its intensity thereafter. Meanwhile, multiple regions will be hit by intense downpours in the coming days. The affected places include Assam, Meghalaya on 1st June; Coastal Karnataka till 2nd June, Kerala & Mahe on 31st May & 1st June; Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh on 31st May; Himachal Pradesh on 31st May & 01st June, Uttarakhand till 1st June; Konkan & Goa during 31st May-2nd June.
Earlier, IMD said that the depression brewing over Bangladesh is likely to move north-northeastwards and weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area during the next 12 hours. For live weather updates, daily forecasts, and IMD alerts – stay tuned to News24Online.com.
