Gurugram News: Man Kills Friend By Striking Him With Brick After Wedding Dance Brawl

Crime Branch officials said the accused fled to Delhi after the incident, but later got arrested and brought to Gurugram for questioning on Monday.

A 28-year-old man died after he got into an argument with a drunken friend while dancing at a wedding in Sector 9B, police said on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Arun Kumar who is a resident of Uttam Nagar in Delhi.

According to police The incident took place in Basai in Gurugram around 1 am on Monday night. He was allegedly hit on the back of the head with a brick by Nitin alias Naitik. Nitin is also a resident of Uttam Nagar.

Crime Branch officials said the accused fled to Delhi after the incident, but later got arrested and brought to Gurugram for questioning on Monday.

Both Arun and Nitin came to Basai along with their friends to attends their friends, Pankaj Kumar ‘s Wedding, said Crime Branch Official. The deceased Arun have a Barbershop in Uttam Nagar of Delhi.

How The Argument Broke Between Them?

Public relations of Gurugram Police, Sandeep Kumar mentioned that, ““They were dancing with other friends when an argument broke out between them. It was during this argument that both hurled abuses at each other”.

“Arun immediately collapsed. His friends rushed him to the Civil Hospital in Sector 10A, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. He had probably died within minutes of the incident,” said Sandeep Kumar.

After this police were alerted by hospital authorities. According to media reports, an autopsy revealed the attack caused several internal brain haemorrhage to the deceased.
