The transfer was done through direct benefit transfer (DBT) in the presence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Gandhi in the Mysuru.

“Before the elections, Congress party had made five promises to Karnataka. We had said that when Congress party and its leaders say something, they do it. Today, when we clicked on the tablet, crores of women received Rs 2000 directly into their bank accounts,” said Rahul Gandhi.

In another scheme called “Shakti,” women in the state will not have to pay for the travelling expenses through buses. Gandhi said we fulfilled the promise that we made during the campaign.
During his speech in Mysuru, Rahul Gandhi pointed out that out of five big promises that the grand-old party made, four were woman-centric policies. He said that was the “deep
idea behind this.”

Bharat Jodo Yatra

Remembering the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Gandhi said he met thousands of women in his mega rally who told him that the inflation has affected them badly. He said women was the to take the blow of inflation who are also the foundation of the state.
Taking blow at the Narendra Modi-led Centre, Gandhi blamed that the government sitting in Delhi worked for billionaires when it was the poor for whom they would have worked for.
