Greater Noida Authority’s Urban service department on Tuesday removed unauthorised street vendors in Greater Noida, said officials adding that strict action would be taken against illegal street vendors in the future as well.

The team, led by Senior Manager Manoj Kumar Sachan, took down about a dozen stalls and carts that were parked illegally in front of the Mayfair Society shopping complex in Techzone-4. Additionally, the sellers were informed that severe confiscation actions would be implemented if they returned and set up stalls in violation of the law.

In Sector Ecotech-III, the Urban Services team also cleared out fabricators who were working by the side of the road. Prerna Singh, the Additional CEO of the Greater Noida Authority, has warned that “The city will continue to crack down on illicit street vendors along its highways.”
