According to reports, the tenders will be opened on January 15. Once the tender is awarded, the selected firm will have three months to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR), design maps, and draft the tender documents.

Earlier, in July, GMDA commissioned a company to prepare the DPR for a 3.5-kilometer stretch of SPR. The company proposed the construction of a three-lane elevated road and a cloverleaf interchange at Vatika Chowk, estimating the cost at around ₹750 crore. The DPR was presented to the Chief Minister during a GMDA meeting and was approved.

SPR is flanked by residential areas in sectors 68 to 76, with over 10,000 families having already moved in. The area is also home to several shopping malls. Traffic congestion has been a major issue, with vehicles taking 30-40 minutes from Dwarka Expressway to the Gurugram-Sohna Elevated Highway.

Additional, GMDA has prepared an estimate of ₹9.65 crore for repairing the main road, with tenders invited for the same. These tenders will be opened on January 13.
