An important urban development scheme has started from Ghaziabad. Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has decided to go ahead with Harnandipuram township. A private consultant has been appointed to prepare the detailed project report (DPR) of this project. The proposed township will be developed near the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and its first report is expected to be ready in the next two months.
GDA media coordinator Rudresh Shukla informed that the selected private agency has started work on the DPR. Tenders were invited for this in April and after the completion of the process, the agency was assigned this task.
This township will be located near the Delhi-Meerut road and RRTS corridor, which will make its connectivity very strong. Modern infrastructure will be provided under the project, which will include facilities like easy access to Metro and RRTS as well as advanced power system and smart street lighting.
Along with this, GDA has also started the process of land acquisition in the first phase. Preparations are being made to buy land directly from farmers, which includes land from a total of eight villages including Nagla Ferozepur Mohan, Champat Nagar, Mathurapur, Shamsher and Bhandara Khurd.
A new elevated road is also proposed in the project, which will provide direct and smooth connectivity to Harnandipuram township with Delhi. This road will be built on the lines of Hindon Elevated Road, which provides a signal-free travel route from Karhera Rotary to UP Gate.
According to a News18 report, this new route will provide faster, safer and hassle-free travel to the residents of the township to reach Delhi.
This initiative of GDA will not only strengthen the infrastructure in the area, but will also give a new boost to residential and business activities in Ghaziabad.
