New Delhi: The Delhi government on Wednesday extended the ‘old liquor excise policy’ for six months apart from The government asked officials to prepare a new excise policy very soon.

The Delhi government withdrew the new excise policy after Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena asked not to implement the new excise scheme.

The old policy will be in function until a new excise scheme is formulated.

As per the old liquor policy, there will be 5 dry days during these 6 months. The liquor shops in the national capital will remain closed on Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday, Buddha Purnima, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
