There are many infrastructural projects which the country is going to receive this year and some are in the proposed state. One such project is the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway.
As per Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari stated that 8 packages in Punjab, 5 in Haryana and 5 in Jammu and Kashmir takes the total to 18 packages. There are three spur lines in Punjab. Currently, the work is underway in the 5 packages in Jammu and Kashmir’s 144-Km route. Three of the packages is likely to get finished by this year rest two will be finished by March 31, 2026.
About The Expressway
The length of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway is 144-Km. This is a greenfield route. As reported by Jagran, the project will be completed by March 2026. This year three packages set is likely to get available by September, 2025.
The work on the first two packages of 44.6 Km and 35.15 Km got started in September 2022. The first package is likely to get completed by July, 2025.
The third package of 2.38 Kilometers is likely to be finished by September 2025. The length of fourth and fifth package in 28.92 Km and 15.3 Km respectively. The fourth one is likely to get finished by February 2026 and Fifth one by March 2026.
