A bus filled with passengers suddenly caught fire on Wednesday evening in the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh. There is concern that many people may be at risk of being burned alive in this fire. The incident occurred near the Duhai Temple. Expressing sorrow over the incident, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced compensation for the families of the deceased.
According to the news agency PTI, Dr. S. Bhola, the Chief Medical Officer of Guna District Hospital, reported that 11 people were brought to the district hospital from the accident site. Among them, one person has been declared dead, while the others have suffered minor injuries. Their conditions are reported to be stable. It is mentioned that the bus collided with a dumper, resulting in a fire on the bus and passengers catching fire. The bus was en route from Guna to Aroon.

According to other media reports, a claim is being made that seven people have died. The report states that 15 people were engulfed by the fire, and they have been admitted to the hospital.

The Chief Minister has ordered an investigation into the incident, stating that a thorough examination of all aspects of the event will be conducted. He directed the officials of the Transportation Department to ensure that such accidents do not recur.
The Chief Minister has instructed the district administration to provide financial assistance of 4-4 lakh rupees to the families of those who lost their lives in the bus accident and 50,000 rupees to the injured. Additionally, he has directed the district administration to ensure the provision of appropriate medical treatment for the injured.
