Bald Man Selling Mysterious Hair Growth Oil Arrested For Committing Fraud In Meerut

In Meerut, a surprising scene unfolded as hundreds of people lined up for a so-called "miracle" baldness cure advertised for just Rs 20.

A video from Meerut showing a crowd gathered around a bald man receiving hair on his scalp has gone viral. The incident, which took place recently, has caught the attention of the authorities after a man called Shadab suffered health issues following treatment of baldness.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Ashok Kataria initiated an investigation. However, he mentioned that when a team was dispatched to the location, no one was found. The authorities only became aware of the situation through media reports.

The video, which quickly gained traction online, showed people waiting to get hair transplanted or applied to their bald heads by an unknown individual. The growing crowd gathered around the man, eager to restore their hair, raised concerns over unregulated practices.

In response, the CMO instructed police to investigate the matter and identify the individuals involved. The CMO emphasized that such unverified, potentially harmful treatments should be avoided and that people should seek treatment from qualified doctors in government hospitals instead. He warned the public to refrain from falling for “quack” remedies and promised that the authorities would identify who was behind this incident and how they were operating in the area.

Police said a complaint had been filed, and three people have been arrested. The incident highlights the increasing risks posed by unauthorized and unlicensed health practices, particularly in rural or semi-urban areas, where unqualified individuals may exploit people’s concerns about hair loss. With no clear understanding of the procedures or risks, such practices can be dangerous and even harmful to people’s health.
