A man was allegedly killed by his wife and her alleged lover in Rajasthan. The incident took place in the Kherli area of Rajasthan’s Alwar district on the night of June 7. The man’s nine-year-old son turned out to be a key witness, as he narrated the entire incident to the police.
The police said that the 9-year-old boy, who was pretending to be asleep at the time of the incident, unraveled the truth.
9-year-old son revealed murder plot
According to NDTV, the man has been identified as Veeru, also known as Man Singh Jatav, who was found dead at his home. The victim’s wife, Anita, claimed that his health had been deteriorating, which led to his death. However, Veeru’s son told the police how his father was allegedly killed by his mother and an “uncle.”
‘I saw father smothered to death’
The NDTV report said that, as per the boy’s testimony, Veeru’s wife Anita had deliberately left the home’s gate unlatched on the fateful night. Anita’s alleged lover, Kashiram Prajapat, entered the house along with four other men. The boy told the police that the men smothered his father with a pillow while he was sleeping on the bed. He pretended to be asleep but witnessed the entire incident.
Anita, Kashiram paid Rs 2 lakh to hire killers
According to police, Anita and Kashiram had planned the murder. Anita runs a general merchant shop in Kherli. Kashiram is a street vendor who sells kachoris. They had hired the killers for ₹2 lakh to murder Veeru.
The police arrested Anita, Kashiram, and one of the killers. They have launched a manhunt to nab the other three accused.
