After 4 Years Away, Andhra Man Discovers He’s Been Officially Declared ‘Dead’

In his desperation, he approached the authorities, personally presenting himself to prove his existence. He pleaded, “Oh Mahaprabhu! I am still alive. I have come before you. Please resolve my issue.” So, what exactly transpired?

According to reports, Anjaney Shetty went missing in 2019 after experiencing a mental health crisis. His family and relatives launched an extensive search for him. In 2020, despite their ongoing efforts, their hopes were dashed when a body resembling Anjaney Shetty was found in Bengaluru. Believing the body to be his, the family conducted his last rites according to their customs and obtained a death certificate. Following the issuance of the certificate, his Aadhaar card was canceled by the administrative department, and his name was removed from the ration card by the authorities.

Things took a dramatic turn when Anjaney Shetty returned to his native village four years later. While his family celebrated his safe return, his neighbors and other villagers were taken aback. Anjaney Shetty then approached the Mandal office authorities to cancel the death certificate and reinstate his identification documents to confirm that he is indeed still alive.

Anjaney Shetty filed a complaint with the Chittoor District Collector, which brought this unusual situation to light.
