Know Dhananjay In 5 Points

1. After Batti Lal Bairwa was elected as JNUSU president in 1996–1997, Dhananjay is the first Dalit president from the Left.
2. With 2,598 votes, Dhananjay from the All India Students’ Association (AISA) defeated Umesh C. Ajmeera of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), who received 1,676 votes, to win the position of JNUSU president.
3. Bihar’s Gaya is home to Dhananjay.
4. He is a PhD candidate at Jawaharlal Nehru University’s School of Arts and Aesthetics.
5. He voiced worries about the higher costs as a result of university loans from the Higher Education Funding Agency (HEFA) during the JNUSU presidential debate.
