Last week, the Indian cinema had the release of two biggest movies of 2025: ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ and ‘Kuberaa’. Both the movies created excitement among the audience with its intriguing storylines and talented star cast. Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan and Genelia D’souza in the lead roles, whereas, Kuberaa has Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh in the lead.
Sitaare Zameen Par Vs Kuberaa Box Office Collection Day 7:
According to the website Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par earned Rs 6.75 crore on day 7 as per early estimates. The movie has earned Rs 89.15 crore in total.
Meanwhile, Kuberaa has earned Rs 3.35 crore on day 7. The movie has collected Rs 69 crore in total.
About Sitaare Zameen Par:
Apart from Aamir Khan, Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia D’souza in the lead role. This is their first on-screen collaboration but the two worked together for Aamir Khan’s produced film ‘Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa’. Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, Aayush Bhansali, Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, Zeenat Hussain and Nikhat Khan are seen in pivotal roles.
There has been a lot of debate about the OTT release of Sitaare Zameen Par. Aamir Khan will reportedly skip its OTT release and will choose the ‘pay-per-view’ method. In the pay-per-view method, the viewers will need to pay specifically for the particular film they want to see. They wouldn’t need to access any OTT platform to get access to the movie of their choice. This method is similar to theatres as the individual will be paying for the movie they want to see. It also gives more benefits to the producers.

About Kuberaa:
While speaking to OTTplay, Sekhar Kammula talked about the plot of Kuberaa and the characters. He shared, “Kuberaa is the story about extremes and features the world’s richest man and a poor beggar. Dhanush plays the beggar, and he doesn’t want anything in life, but the rich man, who is filled with greed and power, wants everything in life. So, what happens when a small incident leads to the collision of these two different worlds is the basic story of the film. The idea originated from this simple point that stuck with me years ago. Once I found more material to develop a script, I went all out.”
Kuberaa focuses on a beggar, who undergoes many changes in his life as he explores greed, ambition and moral dilemmas. The movie also stars K Bhagyaraj, Dalip Tahil, Sayaji Shinde, Hareesh Peradi, Sunaina, Nassar, Azhagam Perumal, Jayaprakash, Bagavathi Perumal.
