Shraddha Kapoor was all set to headline a thriller directed by Tumbbad fame Rahi Anil Barve and produced by Ekta Kapoor. However, recently PeepingMoon reports suggested that the actress has walked out of the project after a fee dispute. She was reportedly demanding ₹17 crore along with a share in the film’s profits, a price tag that Ekta Kapoor reportedly felt high especially for a women centric film. Sources say the producers were concerned the high fee would tip the entire budget off balance.
But now, director Rahi Anil Barve has broken his silence and without naming anyone specifically, he addressed the speculation on social media. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “Please don’t believe any of the rumours currently floating all over the media. We’ll be making an official announcement at the right time. Thank you.”

Bombay Times reported that Barve remained tight lipped about Shraddha’s exit and stated, “These are all rumours, Everything is a rumour” he further added, “Right now, all I can say is that I’m finishing Rakt Brahmand. I am working on my next. That’s it.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shraddha is officially signed for Stree 3, which is scheduled for release on August 13, 2027. There are also rumors that she’s in discussions with producer Dinesh Vijan, Bhushan Kumar, and Boney Kapoor for upcoming projects, though nothing is confirmed yet.
