Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro In Dino is an anthology film that will hit theatres on July 4. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Sheikh, and Pankaj Kaol in key roles.
The film’s official distributor, T-Series, shared a poster on Instagram to announce the release date. The post says, “When love, fate, and city life collide, magic is bound to happen! Metro In Dino brings stories from the cities you love. Experience it on July 4th in cinemas near you!”
This movie marks Aditya and Basu’s second collaboration after Ludo. Metro In Dino, inspired by the popular song In Dino from Life in a Metro, will explore heartwarming and bittersweet stories of human relationships in modern times.
Basu shared more about the film, saying, “Metro In Dino is a story for the people. It has been a long time since I’ve worked on this, and I’m happy to work with Bhushan Kumar again, who has always been a strong supporter. The story is fresh and very relevant, and I’m excited to work with amazing artists who bring that modern touch. I’m also thrilled to be collaborating with my good friend Pritam, whose music has brought the characters and story to life.”
Basu is known for films like Barfi, Life In a Metro, Ludo, and Jagga Jasoos.
Sara will also share the screen with Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time in an upcoming action-comedy film.
The film will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, who are teaming up again for their third movie together.
