Gurucharan Singh, beloved for his iconic character Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,’ recently underwent hospitalisation, leaving his fans worried. During his hospital stay, he shared a video update on his health, revealing that he hadn’t been feeling well.
Fortunately, the actor is now out of danger and has returned home after being discharged. In a heartwarming gesture, Gurucharan shared another video on Instagram to connect with his fans and express gratitude.
Gurucharan began by thanking God for his recovery and expressing love and gratitude for the outpouring of support. He also thanked his fans for their well-wishes and concerned messages over the past few days.
“Doston main ghar par hoon. Theek hoon aur wahe Guruji ki kripa se, ab theek hoon. Doston bas ab, iccha yehi hai ke phirse apne pairon par khade ho jaaun (Friends, I’m home now. I’m fine, and thanks to Guruji’s blessings, I’ve recovered. Friends, my only wish now is to stand on my own feet again.)”, he said in the video.
Gurucharan continued, “Pehle bhi ye maine kaha tha sabko ke dil se kaam karna chahta hoon, mehnat karna chahta hoon, kritya kamayiaan karna chahta hoon, aap sabke support se hi ye possible hopayega. Main dil se kaam karna chahta hoon (As I’ve said before, I want to work from the heart, put in genuine effort, and deliver quality work. This will only be possible with your support. I want to work sincerely, from the heart).”
Dealing With Debts
He also gave insights into his financial and life and shared that he is under immense debt. “Haalat aise hain ki, financially toh aap sab samajhte hain. Sar par bahot se karze hain joh saare utarna hain, Wahe Guruji ke kripa se sab hoga. Aap sabke prayers, duaon se. Aap sabka hi support chahiye. (The situation is such that, financially, you all understand… I have a lot of debt on my head that I need to repay. With Wahe Guruji’s blessings, everything will work out. With your prayers, duas, and support, I’ll get through this. I need your support.),” he ended the video.
Earlier in an interview, Gurucharan’s friend Bhakti Soni, revealed that no one is helping the actor in times of need. “He had a debt of about Rs 1.2 crore. However, his father owns a property worth ₹55 crore. Unfortunately, there is an ongoing dispute as the tenants are not vacating the property. If the matter gets resolved and the property is sold, he should be able to clear his loan,” he told Etimes.
Singh’s friend additionally stated that the actor has depleted all of his funds and mentioned, “When he needs support the most, no one, including his family members, is helping him. It’s only friends like me and one friend in Delhi who have been supporting him financially.”
