Filmmaker Omung Kumar, known for impressive biopics like ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Sarabjit’, is now trying his hand at the romantic-action genre with his next film ‘Sila’. The film stars Harshvardhan Rane, ‘The Diplomat’ fame Sadiya Khateeb, Bigg Boss 18 winner Karan Veer Mehra, and debutante singer-actor Ipsitaa in pivotal roles.
On Monday, the first poster of the film was released, formally introducing the title of ‘Sila’. The poster shows Harshvardhan and Sadiya in an emotional yet intense moment both with bruises on their faces and holding each other while flames burn in the background. It indicates that the film will be a strong mix of emotion, love, and action.
Sharing the post on Instagram, Harshvardhan Rane wrote, “The wait ends here…Dive into the hauntingly beautiful world of #SILAA where love meets redemption. Lead actor #HarshvardhanRane & #SadiaKhateeb come together for the first time in this romantic-action drama about a love-story gone wrong, directed by #OmungKumar. Shoot begins Tomorrow.”

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal that Karan Veer Mehra plays the villain in the film. He wrote, He wrote, “HARSHVARDHAN RANE – SADIA KHATEEB STARRER TITLED ‘SILAA’ – FILMING BEGINS TOMORROW… #Silaa is the title of the upcoming romantic-action drama starring #HarshvardhanRane and #SadiaKhateeb, with #KaranveerMehra playing the antagonist.”
While a glimpse of the lead pair has been revealed, Karan Veer Mehra’s look is yet to be revealed. The film’s shoot begins on July 1.
