Mahesh Babu is once again embroiled in controversy. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the Ranga Reddy District Consumer Commission of Telangana has sent him a notice for appearing in an advertisement for a real estate company. It is alleged that the company he promoted duped customers by selling fake plots.
A Hyderabad based doctor has filed a complaint that she invested Rs 34.8 lakh in the company’s plots, but later it was found that those plots did not actually exist. Mahesh Babu has been named as the third respondent in this complaint as he had endorsed that project.

This is not the first time Mahesh Babu’s name has surfaced in a real estate controversy. In April 2024, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had sent him summons in a money laundering case involving Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group. He was said to have charged a fee of Rs 5.9 crore for promoting these companies.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Mahesh Babu was last seen in Guntur Kaaram. He is currently working on his next film with SS Rajamouli. The movie also reportedly stars Priyanka Chopra and the details about this project have been kept under wraps.
