Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday and R Madhavan came together for Kesari 2 and have been receiving good response for their stellar performances. Based on the book ‘The Case That Shook The Empire’, the movie focuses on C Sankaran Nair, who fought against the Crown in the court to hold them accountable for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Kesari Chapter 2 also marks the directorial debut of filmmaker Karan Singh Tyagi.
Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office Collection Day 5:
According to the website Sacnilk, Kesari Chapter 2 collected Rs 4.75 crore on day 5. The movie has maintained its grip in theatres after its numbers went down on Monday (day 4). Kesari Chapter 2 has earned Rs 38.75 crore in total.
The movie is also basking in the glory of praise as many celebrities and politicians came forward to show their support for the project. Even PM Narendra Modi mentioned the contribution of C Sankaran Nair in one of his speech. Sharing PM Modi’s video on Instagram, Akshay wrote, “Thank you Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji for remembering the great Chettur Sankaran Nair ji and his contribution to our freedom struggle. It is so important that we as a nation, especially the younger generation values the great women and men who fought valiantly to ensure that we breathe in a free country! Before the release of Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay shared some behind the scene pictures from the set. He wrote, “You must have heard many stories but this is a storm. C.
