Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s upcoming film War 2 is one of the most awaited movies of the year. But last month, Hrithik got hurt while rehearsing a dance number with Jr NTR, which delayed the shoot. But instead of halting completely, Ayan moved ahead with the shooting.
A Mid-Day inside source revealed how Ayan Mukerji kept ‘War 2’ moving forward despite Hrithik’s injury, “The patch shoot was carried out with body doubles and junior artistes. Hrithik is still recovering and is currently undergoing regular movement training and physiotherapy.” It further added that Hrithik is expected to rejoin the shoot at the end of April, once he receives clearance from his medical team.
Despite these setbacks, the production remains confident about wrapping up the shoot by May, with Hrithik’s dance numbers scheduled only after he has fully recovered.
Speaking at an event recently in Atlanta, Hrithik gave fans an exciting update “I was really nervous about how the sequel would shape up. But I must say, I’m extremely proud of this film. Only one song remains to be shot, and it’s with Jr NTR. I’m heading back to film that. I hope I do well — I’m nervous, and he’s amazing! But this film will definitely be bigger and better than part one. So wish me luck.”
What To Expect From War 2
The movie is directed by Ayan Mukerji and is a part of Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe. It’s a sequel to Hrithik and Tiger Shroff’s hit film War. War 2 also stars Kiara Advani and marks Jr NTR’s debut in Bollywood. And it is set to hit cinemas on August 14, 2025.
