Ed Sheeran, one of the most popular British singers, is all set to perform in Chennai tonight and has made fans excited. Ahead of his concert, he surprised his fans by meeting AR Rahman and his son AR Ameen. The trio posed together, also leaving their admirers wondering about their possible collaboration.
Netizens are over the moon after seeing AR Rahman and Ed Sheeran in the same frame. One fan commented, “Any song is coming with this combo ? Out of syllabus… waiting.” Another person wrote, “ohh my parallelsss meet.” One Instagram user commented, “Hoping for their collaboration.”
Ed Sheeran also posted a video of him singing his song ‘Perfect’ with the students of KM Music Conservatory, founded by AR Rahman. Sharing the video on Instagram, he wrote in the caption, “Singing perfect with the amazing choir at @kmmcchennai here in Chennai today, wowsers (flip sideways for the full experience gang).”
Ed Sheeran arrived in India for his ‘- = ÷ x’ tour, that kickstarted in Pune on January 30. It was followed by Hyderabad on February 2, Bengaluru, Chennai on February 5, Shilong on February 12 and Delhi NCR (Gurugram) on February 15.
Announcing the concert, Ed Sheeran wrote, “Coming back to India for my biggest ever tour of your beautiful country. Also coming to play Bhutan for the first time, coming back to Qatar for the first time in a decade and playing that beautiful amphitheatre in Bahrain again. What a way to start 2025, can’t wait to see you all there. India on sale Dec 11th. Bhutan on sale Nov 30th. Qatar & Bahrain on sale Dec 6th x.”
