The tribute came following Singh’s passing on Thursday, leaving fans emotional as the singer shared heartfelt words about the former PM’s legacy.

Diljit’s Tribute To Manmohan Singh!

During the performance, Diljit Dosanjh described Manmohan Singh as a symbol of simplicity and dignity. “He led a very simple life and never retaliated with negativity, which is remarkable in a field like politics,” he said.

Diljit recited one of Singh’s most memorable poetic statements:
“Hazaron jawabo se meri khamoshi acchi, na jane kitne sawalo ki aabru dhak leti hai.”

He emphasized the lesson this line holds for the youth, urging them to remain focused on their goals regardless of criticism. “Even those who criticize you are a form of God, testing your reactions,” he remarked.

Diljit shared the video of his tribute on Instagram, captioning it, “Today’s Concert is dedicated to Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR Year 24.” Fans flooded the post with love and admiration. One fan wrote, “Ek hi dil hai, paaji, kitni baar jeetoge? Pyaar hi pyaar, respect hi respect!” Another referenced a recent feud, commenting, “Indirect answer to AP Dhillon.”

Honoring Manmohan Singh

Diljit also highlighted Manmohan Singh’s milestone as the first Sikh to have his signature on Indian currency, calling it an inspiring achievement for the community and the nation.

The Guwahati concert was part of Diljit’s ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour 2024, which kicked off in Delhi in October. He performed across major cities including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Mumbai. The India leg of the tour will conclude in Ludhiana on December 31.
