Pushpa 2, a huge success, lends Allu Arjun to a new project. He is now working on a new movie under the direction of Atlee and was officially announced on April 8, 2025. Allu Arjun will play the main role in this film, which is being produced by Sun Pictures. Around two weeks after of the announcement, it has been reported that Mrunal Thakur will be one of the three main female characters in the movie. Still, two more actors are yet to be signed for the film.
New Duo Onscreen
According to the report by Peepingmoon, Mrunal Thakur will play a romantic pair opposite Allu Arjun in the film. The movie is planned to have a lot of VFX and action scenes in it. The story of this movie is said to happen in a parallel world. Allu Arjun will play double roles in the movie. The report also says that a renowned special effects company from Los Angeles is working on the movie to make Atlee’s directorial visual palette look amazing.
Along with Mrunal Thakur, Deepika Padukone and Janhvi Kapoor might also be seen as the two female main leads in this Telugu movie. Reportedly, Janhvi Kapoor may join the film very soon and talks with Deepika Padukone are still going on. At present, the planning work for the movie has started, but the dates for starting shooting have yet to be decided.
About New Allu Arjun Movie
April 8, 2025, Sun Pictures shared a video to announce the new movie of Allu Arjun and director Atlee. Right now, the movie is being called A22xA6, which is just a temporary name. While sharing the video on YouTube, the filmmakers wrote, “Gear up for A22xA6, a Landmark cinematic event. Produced by Sun Pictures. Starring Icon Star Allu Arjun. An Atlee Film. (sic).” At the time of the film announcement, Atlee revealed, “This is the film I have always dreamed of making, and it’s taken years of quiet work to shape the screenplay into something I truly believe in.”
