Chandigarh: A girl studying in class 12 was allegedly sexually assaulted by a group of friends who then, pushed her down the stairs at a stadium in Punjab’s Moga.
As per media sources, the incident took place last week. However, the complaint was registered on Tuesday four days later after the father of the victim gave his official statement.
The father stated that the girl went to play to the stadium when her friend asked the victim to meet. Following which, the friend along with two others reached the stadium.

The three friends started thrashing the girl and pushed her down the stairs. During this incident, the girl suffered fractures in her jaw and both the legs. The girl was rushed to the hospital where she was referred to bigger facility in Ludhiana later.
The Moga police said that it received the information regarding the incident by the hospital on August 13 citing it an accident.
The police further said the father later changed his statement and told that the girl was molested. However, the girl is medically unfit to record her statement.
Acting upon the information, the police have arrested three youth.
