CM Nitish Kumar Flags Off 618 New Police Vehicles To Boost Bihar’s Patrol Power

In a major step toward strengthening law and order in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar handed over 618 new vehicles to the state police in Patna. The fleet, comprising 520 four-wheelers and 98 two-wheelers, is expected to enhance police patrolling, emergency response, and accessibility in remote areas. The Chief Minister emphasized effective use of the resources and reiterated the government’s commitment to public safety.

In a major initiative to improve law and order in the state, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today joined hands by handing over 618 new vehicles to the Bihar Police. The vehicles comprise 520 four-wheelers and 98 two-wheelers which would improve the operational capability and mobility of the police force in the state.

The handover ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha. While speaking at the event, CM Nitish Kumar once again reiterated the state government’s focus on people’s safety, stating that the police are being equipped with modern resources and machines so that they can create a better atmosphere for the people of Bihar.

He pledged that the new cars would eventually increase police patrolling, response, and coverage of outlying areas. He also ordered authorities to make full use of the new equipment and further stated that the police must maintain the public trust by being responsible and effective.

The Chief Minister further stated that the upgradation would not only accelerate response in emergencies but also facilitate crime control more efficiently in the state. With such augmented resources, the Bihar Police can be expected to operate with greater mobility and stronger presence and thereby make the system of enforcement more secure and responsive.

Inaugural Event

The function started on a positive note by Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, who handed over a green plant to the Chief Minister, representing environmental awareness and good governance.

The ceremony was graced by a constellation of top officials and political leaders such as Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary for Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, and Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar.

Dignitaries who were present on the occasion were Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Dr S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, ADG (Special Branch) Sunil Kumar, ADG (Headquarters) Kundan Krishnan, ADG (Provisioning) Ajitabh Kumar, Chief Minister’s Secretary Kumar Ravi, Home Department Secretary Pranav Kumar, and DG (Patna Range) Garima Malik.
