IndiGo Airlines on Monday issued travel advisory after continuous downpour caused disruption to flight schedules. The Airlines has warned of possible delays and advised passengers to reach airport on time amid reports of slow vehicular movement. Several parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Pune and Navi Mumbai, received heavy and light rainfall on Monday morning. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in Mumbai today. Visuals from Mumbai and neighbouring areas showed the city drenched in showers and long queue of vehicles.
IndiGo wrote on X, “There’s a heavy downpour over #Mumbai at the moment, causing some temporary disruption to flight schedules. If you’re travelling today, please be aware of potential delays and allow additional time for your journey, especially with traffic moving slower than usual. Southwest Monsoon Advances Further
Meanwhile, the IMD informed that the Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through Mumbai, Ahilyanagar, Adilabad, Bhawanipatna, Puri, Sandhead Island, 23.5°N/89.5°E, Balurghat, 30°N/85°E. It added that the conditions have become favourable for further advancement of Southwest monsoon over some parts of Gujarat, some more parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha during next 24 hours; over some parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh during subsequent 3 days.
