The incident took place on Wednesday evening when 24 people were returning from a weekly market, reported the news agency PTI.

However, 17 people were rescued while, the bodies of two passengers were found few hours later.

On Thursday, the bodies of Sandhya Kumar (6), Anita Paswan (10), Alisa Yadav (5), Khushal Yadav (10) and Satyam (12) were found.

Meanwhile, the Ghazipur district administration announced financial support to the kin of the victims. The compensation amount will be given from the disaster relief fund.
