Noida: A shocking incident has come to light from Noida, where a 26-year old woman was allegedly stabbed by her husband at a restaurant on Sunday evening. The incident was reported from Sector 18, Noida. The accused was arrested on Monday, informed the police. The complaint was filed by the woman against her husband after the incident. According to police, the woman identified as Tabassum lived with her husband, Usman in Sector 44, Noida. She told police that their relationship had hit a rough patch and she had earlier dialed emergency helpline 112 due to their fights.
Why Did The Man Stab His Wife?
The couple had started living separately, but when Tabassum visited the city on Sunday, Usman asked her to meet her at restaurant in Sector 18. During the meeting, when Tabassum told him that she has decided not to continue this marriage anymore, he got angry. She alleged that in anger, Usman picked up a knife from a nearby stall and attacked her. She said, “As I tried to save my neck, Usman stabbed multiple times in my abdomen.” Following the incident, passerby informed the police and the woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
TOI quoted Additional DCP (Noida) Manish Kumar Mishra, who stated that a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Section 118 (1) has been registered at Sector 20 police station. Police arrested the accused, Usman on Monday, added Manish Kumar Mishra.
In another incident of stabbing, a 30-year-old woman was stabbed by her neighbour over a monetary dispute on Sunday. The incident was reported from Sector 49, Noida. Police registered case of attempted murder and the accused was arrested.
