Man Killed After Fatal Fight Breaks Out During Cricket Match – Here’s What Happened

A police team quickly rushed to the spot and found the deceased with severe head injuries. DCP Shakti Mohan Avasthy (Central Noida) said that the man was a resident of Kasba in Surajpur. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man left home for some work but later made his way to the cricket ground to drink alcohol.

Greater Noida: In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old man was found dead in an abandoned room in Greater Noida’s Surajpur area on Tuesday. He was allegedly assaulted by three men a day before his body was recovered, police said. According to reports, around 11 on Tuesday, police received information about a man’s body drenched in blood in a deserted room adjacent to a swimming pool near a cricket field in Surajpur.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man left home for some work but later made his way to the cricket ground to drink alcohol. According to ACP BS VIR Kumar, a group of men were playing cricket close to the area where he was seated. Hindustan Times quoted ACP Kumar as saying, “A ball struck him and when a player approached him to pick up the ball, he got angry and started abusing him.”

The ACP further stated when the other players heard the arguments, they rushed to the scene and a fistfight broke out. During the altercation, one of the suspects forcefully pushed the man and his head hit a hard object. Afterward, the suspects left the ground thinking the man would return home, however, he couldn’t as he succumbed to his injuries.
