Ghaziabad: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday announced the development of Greater Ghaziabad. While addressing the reporters after sending off the group of pilgrims for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, he said that Greater Ghaziabad will now will be built in Ghaziabad as well. CM Yogi informed that he has discussed about this project with representatives too. Officials have also been instructed to take new initiatives in this matter.
Where Will It Be Built?
During his address, CM Yogi said that he has instructed the Municipal Corporation to develop Ghaziabad as Greater Ghaziabad by adding some parts of Khora, Loni and Muradnagar. The CM asserted that meaningful discussions have been held on ground issues, infrastructure. CM Yogi is confident that this journey of Ghaziabad’s development will progress at the same speed under the double engine government. He had come to participate as the chief guest in the golden jubilee celebration of CEL Company located in Sahibabad.
GDA To Build Stadium
CM Yogi further stated that work of Integrated Office Complex is in progress in Ghaziabad. After its construction, there will be a system to bring the district headquarters as well as the offices of all other departments of the district under one roof. This will make it easier for people to get their work done as they will not have to wander here and there.
He said that the BCCI had taken land in Ghaziabad a long time ago to build a stadium, but the work could not begin. Therefore, it has been now decided that the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) will use that land and build a stadium on it.
Revival Of Hindon River
CM Yogi highlighted that the Hindon river used to be the identity of Ghaziabad and the work of its revival has also been taken forward. In the review meeting held earlier, action plan of Hindon river’s revival and purification were discussed. Apart from this, instructions have been given for plantation of trees on both sides of the river. CM Yogi stressed that once crime films were made in the name of Ghaziabad, but the perception of people have changed now. He firmly stated that Ghaziabad is now emerging as a model of development, cleanliness and good governance.
