In addition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the farmers have also written letters in blood to Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav. The farmers have sent their blood-written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing their pain.

Not only men, but many women have also given their blood to write letters. There is a queue to give blood for the farmers, which shows how severely the farmers are affected.

“Nobody is looking towards the farmers” Sukhbir Khalifa, the National President of the Bharatiya Kisan Parishad, says, “For the past 11 months, the farmers’ protest has been ongoing. Farmers are sitting on a protest near the NTPC center in Dadri with their demands,” the letter read.

“Appeals for help have been made from local representatives to Lucknow, but everyone turns a blind eye. No officer is willing to look towards the farmers. Efforts have been made to negotiate with the district administration and Greater Noida Authority, but upon hearing the word ‘farmers,’ everyone closes their eyes. MLAs and MPs assured assistance, but despite that, no action has been taken; everyone is absent. No one is willing to resolve our issues. If this isn’t the exploitation of farmers, then what is? Farmers are dying every day. It would be better to just end our lives,” the farmer added.

What are the farmers’ demands?

In Greater Noida, near Dadri, there is a National Thermal Power Corporation power generation center. The government acquired land in 23 villages in the area about 35 years ago to establish this plant.

The farmers say that at that time, the compensation received for land acquisition was not uniform. This means that different villages received different amounts of compensation. Since then, the farmers have been demanding uniform compensation.

Additionally, the farmers are also demanding jobs in the NTPC and the development of these villages. To fulfill these demands, hundreds of farmers have been demonstrating outside the NTPC Thermal Power Plant on November 1st.
