Delhi Weather Update: As southwest monsoon progresses towards northern states, Delhi is likely to see showers during next two days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its weather bulletin, stated that conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon over remaining parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, some parts of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh and Delhi during subsequent 2 days. As of now, the Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through Jaipur, Agra, Rampur, Dehradun, Shimla, and Manali. This forecast indicates pleasant days for residents and a period of respite from the scorching heat. While rains will lash and turn the weather pleasant, increasing humidity levels may make it uncomfortable.
Capital Braces For Monsoon Showers
Pre-monsoon shower conditions have begun in the national capital which includes sharp drop in temperatures, sudden thunderstorms, light to moderate rain, high humidity levels etc. Delhi experienced rainfall on Saturday, with some parts reporting waterlogging like situation.

As monsoon nears Delhi, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm with rain on Sunday, June 22. The sky will remain cloudy, with moderate to heavy rain accompanied by lightning predicted for the day. Gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) temporarily reaching 50 kmph during thunderstorm are expected. The maximum temperature will remain around 37°C today.

June 26: Generally cloudy sky with light rain accompanied with thunderstorm/ lightning is expected on Thursday. The maximum temperature will remain at 35°C.
June 27: The maximum temperature will remain around 34°C. Rain will continue to lash the national capital.
June 28: Generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or Thunderstorm has been forecast by the IMD. The maximum temperature is expected to remain at 34°C.
