New Delhi: After the flood-like situation in the national capital, the spike in dengue cases can now be seen. Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj instructed all hospitals to reserve 5 per cent of beds for dengue patients and to provide test reports within six to eight hours.

The health minister convened a meeting at the Delhi Secretariat, bringing together nodal officers and medical superintendents from various hospitals to discuss strategies for preventing dengue in the city.

The meeting involved representatives from government hospitals, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) hospitals, Cantt area hospitals, and officials from Central government hospitals.

Bharadwaj said, “This practice will help the government stay informed about the current situation of Dengue in Delhi, enabling it to make well-organized arrangements to tackle any potential emergencies effectively.”

During the meeting, the health minister directed all hospitals to report daily information on Dengue patients through the Health Department’s portal, similar to how Covid-19 data was reported during the pandemic.

Furthermore, the minister instructed hospital officials to establish dedicated wards for dengue patients and implement mosquito nets around their beds to prevent disease transmission to other patients.

Ashaji recalls Kaanta laga as an upbeat folk dance number  composed by Rahul Dev Burman. “It was peppy and catchy. We were all humming the  song when shooting it. But did I think it would become such a rage in retrospect? No! Success on that level cannot be predicted by anyone. I remember the song Maar diya jaye ke chhor diya jaye in my film Mera Gaon Mera Desh. That too became such craze, although Lataji’s other  songs  in the film were also outstanding.”
