Bengaluru: A shocking event unfolded on Monday after a 40-year-old woman was found murdered in the bed area of Bengaluru. According to reports, the victim was killed by a man, identified as Mohammed Shamshuddin, with whom she was in a relationship. The terror intensified after it was revealed that her hands were tied and her body stuffed in a sack and later dumped.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) recovered the body from a garbage truck in a horrific state. Meanwhile, the Bengaluru Police have sent the body for autopsy and arrested the accused. A probe is underway to examine the details of the case from all angles.
Incident Recorded In CCTV
Reports stated that 33-year-old Shamshuddin, who hailed from Assam, was tracked after reviewing the CCTV and other evidence. He was in a live-in relationship with the victim, identified as Asha, for the past one and a half years. The couple had a rented apartment in Hulimavu, South Bengaluru. While Asha was a widow, the man was already married and had two children. They worked in the same company and posed as husband and wife.
Accused Strangled The Victim Over A Dispute
According to DCP (South) Lokesh B Jagalasar, Shamshuddin is believed to have strangled Asha after an argument initially broke out between them, which later escalated. He fled the scene after dumping her body.
