Bengaluru: In a deeply disturbing incident reported from Bengaluru, a woman was gangraped by four individuals in her friend’s house on Monday night. According to reports, the accused also carried out a robbery in the house, taking away a refrigerator, an LED TV, and a washing machine. Moreover, they allegedly transferred ₹13,000 to their bank account from the victim’s phone after committing the crime.
Police Arrest The Accused
Based on the 35-year-old survivor’s complaint, the police booked the accused, identified as Shashi Kumar, Krnche Gowda, Raghu, and Madesh. All four individuals, in their late 20s, are residents of Hebbagodi. One of them is a hotel assistant, while the other three are employees at a biopharmaceutical company.
TOI quoted the victim as saying in her complaint: “My friend had invited me to her house. Another friend joined us, and we were chatting when three men knocked on the door. When my friend opened the door, they barged in and threatened to take us to the police station, saying we were involved in the flesh trade.”
Accused Assaults Her Pal Who Tried To Stop Them
She alleged that the four men assaulted her friend when he attempted to stop them from raping her. They snatched her mobile phone and threatened her. Since they didn’t find more cash, they stole the fridge and other home appliances. Meanwhile, the police said the accused transported these items later in a mini-goods vehicle.
