Jeet Adani, son of Adani Group’s chairman Gautam Adani and Director, Adani Airport Holdings, addressed the day 1 of IIT Bombay Techfest 2024 on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. During his address, Jeet emphasized the vital role of technology in navigating the evolving landscape. He stressed that embracing technology is the key to progress, asserting that “technology is the only way forward”.
Jeet added that their efforts in renewable energy are transforming the battle against climate change into a remarkable success story. Jeet praised IIT Bombay saying, “this institution has given the world few finest minds across the industries. From Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, the late Manohar Parrikar, ISRO Chairman Dr (Digendranath) Swian, Computer Scientist Pranav Mistry to the more younger minds like Bhavish Agarwal from OLA, Parag from Twitter, and the late Physicist Dr Rohini Godbole, who championed the cause of women in Science and Technology.”

Jeet delivered a groundbreaking address on Technology and Innovation. He said, “I see technology as the way forward, the only way forward. Today, living without technology is like standing still while the rest of the world zooms past you. Barely a week ago, Google unveiled a new quantum computing chip called Willow – and it is incredibly powerful. In fact, its computational architecture is more advanced and, also, more powerful than anything we know or have seen in the world. of computing. Sundar Pichai said it took under five minutes to solve a complex mathematical problem that would take a leading supercomputer over 10^25 years, or ten septillion years, which he said is far beyond the age of the universe.
