New Delhi: The Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue collection in September is estimated to be approximately Rs 1.45 lakh crore. Since March, the revenue has exceeded Rs 1.4 lakh crore, and in August, it was Rs 1.43 lakh crore, according to an official.

“The collection in September is likely to be little more than Rs 1.45 lakh crore. Improved business activity is expected to yield better collections in coming months,” the official said. Official revenue figures will be released on October 1.

In September of last year, there was a mop-up of Rs. 1.17 lakh crore. The source added that estimations indicate that the average annual GST income in 2022–2023 will be close to Rs 1.55 lakh crore.

In April, revenue reached a record high of Rs 1.68 lakh crore. GST revenue totaled Rs. 1.41 trillion in May, Rs. 1.44 trillion in June, Rs. 1.49 trillion in July, and Rs. 1.43 trillion in August (August).
