Triumph has probably been eyeing the top place in the two wheeler segment in the Indian market as it has been preparing to launch a slew of new bikes with a great gusto. While the brand has already been planning to launch the all new Truxton 400 soon it has just unveiled a higher spec variant of the scrambler 400X called the XC at Rs 2.94 lakh. The stand out feature of the bike would be its new additional accessories as well as cross spoke wheels and additional accessories and three colors for a price hike of Rs 27,000.
Mechanically the bike is the same as the 400x, and shares the same 398cc single -cylinder, liquid cooled engine, with chassis and a suspension setup. The cross spoke wheels help it stand out in front of the normal variant. Beyond that, the new XC variant also gets better and standard protection with a new aluminum sump guard and an engine guard.
The Bike would now also have body colored high mounted front fender and a body colored fly screen. The bike would be equipped with scrambler MRF Zapper Kurve Tires. The Bike has been priced at Rs 2.95 lakh 27k over the scrambler 400X which is right now available for Rs 2.67 lakh. The bike would go against the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 adventure X alongside the 400x and speed 400.
Triumph Scrambler X
Triumph has recently updated the scrambler 400x with new shade of red along with a slight revision in prices. The bike was originally launched along with the launch of the Speed 400.
Triumph has positioned both of these bikes within a price bracket that they had never entertained before. The new Scrambler 400x has been updated with a new colorway and looks a lot more appealing than before. The new shade replaces the Current Volcanic red and Photo Black Colorway.
Price Hike
Both the bikes have received a price hike as well, The Bike is now priced at Rs 2.67 Lakh. Other colorways that are being offered with the new Scrambler 400 x are Matt Khaki Green, Fusion White, Pearl Metallic White and Phantom Black. Other than the revised pricing and the overall changes in the color palette the bike seems to have witnessed no other changes. The bike continues to be powered by a 398 cc liquid cooled DOHC 4v- single cylinder Series engine.
