New Delhi: New emission norms for vehicles will come into effect in India from the beginning of the next financial year. Which will be known as Real Time Driving Emission Norms ie RDE. It is also being known as Phase 2 BS6 Emission Norms. Due to this rule, many car brands will have to discontinue their diesel vehicles. Along with this, the vehicles running on petrol will also be different from before. Any models that do not conform to these rules will be discontinued. Many popular vehicles will be discontinued after this rule comes into effect, if you want to buy any of these then buy now, otherwise you will not be able to buy them later. Due to this rule, 17 trains will be closed from April 2023.
What are the new norms?
At present, lab testing of emission level was done for the vehicles, but in real life, the level of emission is found to be increased when running on the roads. For continuous checking of this level, the government has made it mandatory for all four wheelers and commercial vehicles to install an essential device.
According to the Advance Emission Norms, it will now be mandatory for vehicle manufacturers to install a device to monitor the emission level in all four or more wheeled vehicles. Due to this the prices of vehicles will also increase. Also, many cars, including most diesel ones, will be shut down due to not being able to follow this rule. These 17 cars are prominent among them.
