The Tata Harrier EV seems to be going through the final stages of its pre – launch tests as the car was recently spotted without any camouflage or disguise. The Harrier EV would help Tata further diversify their EV line up and compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta EV and Suzuki E-Vitara. The Harrier EV would break cover soon on June the 3rd 2025.
While most of the body panels of the new Harrier EV are the same as that of the conventional Harrier. Although to differentiate the vehicle from that of the conventional Harrier the EV has been redesigned with a new front fascia with vertical slats and redesigned headlamps over the front bumper.
Exterior Updates
The closed grill up front would be a prominent exterior features that would differentiate the EV from the conventional Harrier. The EV variant would further have an EV badge on the front doors and a Harrier EV badge on the tailgate as well. Beyond these changes, the Harrier EV would have vertical LED headlamps, Blade shaped DRL’s and a blacked out D Pillar and a floating roof line that further accentuates the look of the SUV. The new Harrier has an aerodynamic design to help the vehicle achieve better range.
Interior Updates
Most of the interior elements would be borrowed from the Diesel Fueled iteration. The New Harrier EV would have a 12.3 inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a four spoke steering wheel, dual tone dashboard, 10.25 inch digital driver display. Beyond that, the car would also be equipped with a JBL’S 10 speaker system, entitled seats and dual zone climate control and a Panoramic Sunroof.
Tata Harrier EV Battery And Powertrain
The Battery and the powertrain details of the EV have not been revealed officially yet, but the leak’s before the launch have revealed that the car would have a AWD Powertrain with dual Electric motors. The Car Would be launched with possibly the same battery pack as that of the Curvv EV and would likely be able to put out a 500 Nm of Torque. Its possible that the vehicle might be equipped with AWD capabilities in a single variant only, there had been revelations about how the car would have independent rear suspension at the rear to accommodate a E – motor at the rear axle.
