Launch
It has been informed by Simple Energy that the company will launch its first electric scooter Simple One on 23 May 2023. According to the company, it will be offered with a very good price in the premium segment electric scooter.
The company’s CEO and Founder Suhas Rajkumar said that when we started Simple One, our aim was to provide our valued customers with a product that matches the level of global players. We’ve spent the last two years testing our product under the most demanding conditions to ensure it’s the best it can be.
With the official confirmation of the launch of Simple One, we would also like to announce that we are the first OEM to comply with the Automotive Industry Standard (AIS) 156 Revision 3 which ensures greater battery protection.
The Simple One is now faster, better than ever, and delivers unmatched protection on the battery system and powertrain. We have successfully fixed the issues encountered during testing and are confident that our product will live up to the wait.
This information was given by the company at the beginning of the year that they have received more than one lakh bookings from across the country for the Simple One electric scooter.
Motor and battery
Talking about the company’s scooter, it can be run up to 236 kilometers in a single charge. In this, 4.8KWH battery is available from the company. Also, the motor in it can generate torque of 72 Newton meters with a power of 8.5 kW. It takes just 2.77 seconds for the scooter to accelerate from zero to 40 kilometers and has a top speed of 105 kilometers per hour.
Features
The company offers the scooter in colors like Brazen Black, Nama Red, Azure Blue and Grace White. To keep luggage, it gets 30 liters of boot space. The scooter comes with a large touchscreen that displays information as well as features like maps, music, bluetooth, phone connectivity and many more.
Price
It has not been launched by the company yet, but it is expected that the company can launch it in the Indian market between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh. The company is currently taking bookings for the scooter and it can be booked for Rs 1,947 on the company’s official website.
