First prototype of Royal Enfield’s EV bike ready
Talking to the media, Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan said that the company will launch its electric bike which will be quite different from all the electric bikes present in the market. According to the information, the first prototype of the company’s electric bike has been prepared.
Coming in 2024
It is estimated that the electric bike will be tested soon. At present, the company has not made any disclosure about the features, price of the bike. It is expected that the company will introduce its first EV bike by the middle of 2024. Recently it has been learned that the company has kept the in-house codename ‘L1A’ for its EV bike.
Factory in Tamil Nadu
According to media reports, Royal Enfield is working in collaboration with Spanish electric vehicle startup Stark Motorcycles. According to the information, Royal Enfield is setting up a new factory in Tamil Nadu for electric vehicles. For this, 60 acres of land has been taken in Cheyyar area. The company is expected to invest around Rs 1,500 crore on the project.
