After the recent sighting of the kiger, Renault Duster it has become apparent that Renault is planning to launch the new facelift models later this year. Both the cars had been recently spotted testing as reported by Team Bhp. While the vehicle was under heavy camouflage we have been able to figure out a few changes that we might witness on the new car.
Looking at the latest spy images it does seem that kiger would receive a minor cosmetic update. Along with cosmetic changes it does seem like that the car would have new clear glass tail lights and would be equipped with that of a rear spoiler, roof rails as well as a shark fin antenna up top.
Its possible that the car might go through mild redesign and the front fascia as well as the rear bumper of the car might be redesigned as well. As per the changes witnessed on the spotted vehicle the front grill of the vehicle might be a little bit bigger than that of the older models. Beyond that its also possible that the car might get new Alloy wheels as well.
Engine Specs
While the vehicle would go through a slew of cosmetic changes it possible that it would be offered with the same 1.0 litre naturally aspirated, 3 cylinder petrol engine and a 1.0 litre Turbo Petrol. Transmission options of the new car would remain the same as well. A 5 speed manual along with a AMT and the Turbo version would get a CVT transmission. 2026 Renault Duster 4×4
The car was spotted testing with Dacia badge with a rear electric motor on the axle for the first time. The Car was spotted testing by the Motor. Es. The car was quite similar to that of the Renault duster that was been being tested earlier as well.
The Third generation Duster was revealed for the First Time The versions that was spotted testing had a electric AWD system that is yet to arrive in other vehicles. The images that have appeared over the internet have showcased a car with a rear axle mounted electric motor.
This was similar to that of the Duster 4×4 Lpg that utilises a 1.2 liter three cylinder Turbo Petrol engine and a 48 V mild Hybrid system. Beyond that the vehicle also had a rear axle mounted motor.
As per the new details the rear mounted motor would come into play only in low grip situations , or probably when the driver chooses a low grip solutions or when the driver engages teh proprietary off road mode.
Similar was the case with the off road mode that was seen on the international spec Duster as well. A similar system has also been seen by the French Brand Valeo similar to that of the Jeep Avenger 4xe. As per the details at the 4×4 car would have a automatic gearbox.
Possible New Launch Details
As we had been reported earlier Renault would bring the new Duster to India probably in 2026. The Production of the new Duster would begin in September this year. The French manufacturer are yet to confirm which powertrain would be providing to the New car.
Since both the vehicles have been seen testing a few times, its possible that Renault might launch both the vehicles together in the upcoming slew of launches. Its possible that the production run of both the vehicles starts of at same time as well.
