Mahindra has had formidable grasp in the D-segment, with its vehicles such as the Scorpio Classic, Scorpio N and the Thar Roxx. But with the increasing competition the manufacturer has sought to give XUV700 a cosmetic Refresh. The new version of the Mahindra XUV700 has been spied being tested under camouflage for the first time.
In a previous update from Tamilotors 360, we could witness the first ever test mule with a full camouflage. Since this was probably a early rendition of what the XUV 700 facelift, the majority of the design elements were similar to the existing XUV700. But it seems that the upcoming XUV 700 would be equipped with a bunch of new updates and the front fascia would most likely be redesigned to give the car a fresh aesthetic.

The test mule that was spotted had new projector headlamps with round DRLs, It’s possible that Mahindra might be testing the throw of the new headlight arrangement hence the vehicle was spotted with a rudimentary arrangement. The current Mahindra XUV 700
The front fascia of the car has been redesigned and it was spotted with a bolder new grille that features vertical slats that are more slanted than with the current model. Since the car would have to compete against the series of new veritable and formidable SUVs it would possibly be equipped with new features such as a triple screen setup, a dashboard that could take inspiration from the XEV 9e, Rear Ottoman, Digital Key, Self park features and upgraded Harman Audio.
New Sighting
While the earlier sighting had showcased the vehicle with makeshift head light arrangement a new Sighting if the test mule recently showcased the new headlights that the vehicle might be launched with. Going by the new sighting the SUV had a redesign front fascia with a pair of new headlights with LED inserts inside. The front fascia would now have a much more enticing appeal for competing against the contemporary competitors in the market. While the older vehicle had circular LED inserts the new headlight has square inserts that add to the overall appeal of the vehicle.
Powertrains
The Powertrains would most likely remain the same unless Mahindra is planning to launch the new vehicle with a new Hybrid Powertrain. The car would be propelled by a 2.0L Turbo Petrol -197BHP engine that has a peak Torque of 380 Nm. Beyond that a 2.2 L Turbo Diesel engine would be on offer too which generates 182 BHP and a peak Torque of 450nm. While media reports have suggested that Mahindra might launch the vehicle with an all new Plug- in Hybrid feature XUV 700 and XUV 7X0.
